Figuring out where to insert a YouTube video on WordPress is a mixture of art and science.
First, you need to use some imagination. Would the video look better embeded before your post’s text or between a break in paragraphs? In this sample (below), I would like to insert the video after an end of a paragraph. I note that the paragraph ends with the word “speed.”
In your WordPress dashboard you will need to use the TEXT view, so click on the TEXT tab above the editing box. We are using the TEXT view because this is also the code view where all the HTML code is seen. Now scroll down to where you find the word “speed” again (the pink dot marks the spot below).
Click at the end of the paragraph that ends with “speed”.
Click the “enter” or “return” key to start a new paragraph (that’s the green not). Now, go ahead and paste embed code. You now have the YouTube video on WordPress.
