social media

Yes! Social Media is Fun!

It’s always interesting to see how my clients use Social Media. When I begin working with a client I hear they know they need a blog, although they are at times unsure what they will blog about or how it will become part of their business marketing.   So what happens when a client embraces their blog and their network of friends? Tempesta!promotions happens! Let’s look at how Lynn Tempesta is having fun with Social Media.

Fun with blogging:  Lynn Tempesta took to blogging like a pollywog to a pond.  Lynn is a business promoter, trainer, model, spokesperson… she’s brains and beauty, the kind of front person who makes an impact for a company. She’s also got heart: she’s involved in non-profit work and is dedicated to healthy living. Her blog is called Lynn’s Voice where she writes about her interests and gives back with frequent mentions of events and people who make a difference.

Fun with video: Lynn’s blog opened the door to video and using YouTube.  A couple months ago I had fun with Lynn when we taped a segment of her “Value In Life” video series (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFb5R6rC-qE ).  Lynn posts her videos on YouTube and on her blog. With the emergence of Facebook and Twitter, YouTube is sometimes forgotten as a Social Media heavy-weight.  If you are a morning show fan you may have noticed that the CBS Early Show often shows YouTube videos that have taken off and achieve a large following.  The latest YouTube star is Greyson Chance, the sixth grader who belted out Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” on video and landed a recording deal (19 million YouTube viewers as of today).  Don’t underestimate the fun and power of YouTube!

Fun with Facebook : Lynn Tempesta has been on Facebook for a while and recently launched the Tempesta!promotions fan page.  Rather than be stuffy and boring, Lynn is launching the Fan Page with a poll to select her profile photo: The Red Head vs. The Red Dress.  The “red head” is her photograph from O Magazine’s L’Oreal hair color makeover and the “red dress” is Lynn’s support of the Red Dress campaign for heart health awareness. Lynn has added a double dose of fun to her Fan Page… her YouTube videos are now a tab on the page.  It’s interactive…. It’s fun!

Lynn has tapped into what I encourage all my clients to use:  the fun factor. Contact us when you need help finding the fun factor in Social Media and creating a plan to launch your online marketing strategy. Let’s take your internet presence from boring to soaring!
